Music!

Locust Street Taxi - Friday: 4:00 - 6:00pm

Locust Street Taxi are a band made up of three musical geniuses and a trombone player. They make grandmothers smile, children laugh, baby-boomers dance, college students spend money, middle school kids take up the trombone, brides and grooms kiss and Seattlelites move their heads slightly. LST have sold 3000 albums, delivered 300 performances in 6 western states and been broadcast on 8 different radio and TV stations in the Pacific Northwest.

You can hear their music at their website: http://www.locuststreettaxi.com

Picket Range - Friday: 6:00 - 8:00pm

Picket Range began in 2003 at a local community center event called the Maltby Jam, held once a month in the small town named Maltby here in Washington. At the time, none of the members knew that the band would progress to playing Bluegrass festivals across Oregon and Washington, but they did know that their talents would expose them to Bluegrass loving audiences, which is surprisingly large for a place so far from where it all began. The musicians all share one common thread, which is preserving the Bluegrass and the Old Time music of the South and following the music through the lineage that has been played to our generation of musicians. With this entire progression available to influence the members of Picket Range and the other musicians that are a part of the music community, we are turing the music towards the microphone and playing it for you.

Georgetown Orbits - Friday: 8:00 - 10:00pm

The Georgetown Orbits boast a heavy regimen of traditional Ska and upbeat, roots-influenced Reggae. They are turning heads in the Northwest as one of the few bands to pay tribute to the old sounds of Jamaican Ska, a style which has gained notable popularity in Seattle since the band’s conception in late 2004.

Caspar Babypants - Saturday: 10:30 - 11:20am

How about a little bit of Nirvana or Presidents of the United States of America for your tot?  Chris Ballew, lead singer of The Presidents of the United States of America, has an alter-ego: Caspar Babypants.

Caspar’s gift is to provide music for children and families.

With a friendly, inviting voice he offers the opportunity to be silly, musical, and young — exactly what kids need to be. The emphasis is on the stories and words, with simple acoustic accompaniment.

Be sure to bring your tots—and let all their friends know to come and enjoy Caspar—at BOB—Saturday at 10:30 AM. Free admission!

“Sweet, simple and incredibly smart music for your mini-me”—USA Today

“Caspar Babypants is one of the few children’s recording artists I can listen to without wanting to stab myself in the eyes.”—Weird Al Yankovic

Puddle City Opossums - Saturday: 1:00 - 2:00pm

COAST - Saturday: 2:00 - 4:00pm

Coast was formed with Jeff Sifferman on vocals and guitar, Jordan Light on bass, Myles Lawrence on sax and percussion, and Kevin Martinez on drums. Classic rock influenced, alternative rock and roll is a brief way to describe the group who formed in the winter of 2010. Shortly after, a 3-song demo was recorded at a small recording studio in North Seattle in late February 2011 and currently free from the band. They played their first show as a group in May, and continued to play out as often as possible since then, whether it be a bar, a beach, or the lobby of a movie theatre.

Whatever Works - Saturday: 4:00 - 6:00pm

Back Porch Blues - Saturday: 6:00 - 8:00pm

Back Porch Blues is a six piece band blending Delta, Chicago , and Contemporary Blues with original arrangements to capture energy and passion for the music. Front man Mike Hebner, a seasoned Blues man to the core, has opened for the likes of Muddy Waters and Freddy King. His bold and throaty vocals and high octane Chicago-style harmonica are the center piece of this band. Sharing vocals center stage is the young and talented Britta Grass who blends harmonies, duets and solos with a dynamic punch. Britta will get your attention and hold it whether belting out upbeat rocking blues or crooning jazzy ballads. BPB’s harmonies are highlighted in vocal mixes, providing a polished and emotional sound that boosts 'em high above the standard bar band.
