Hello! Welcome to our youth ministry page where you can learn about the different youth programs, find calendars and registration forms, and stay updated throughout the year about upcoming events.
This year (2011-2012) we are kicking off a joint youth ministry program with St. Matthew parish, and we continue our joint Confirmation program with St. Alphonsus parish. We are looking forward to a great year!
Feel Free to contact me with any questions you have regarding youth ministry, or to register for our events and programs. My contact information is:

Jr. High Youth Group: C..H.A.O.S.
Why are we called CHAOS? Well, our youth nights might feel a little crazy, but it's mostly because Christ Has All Our Solutions! 6th, 7th and 8th grade youth build community while growing in love and knowledge of Jesus Christ and our Catholic faith. We support our community through summer mission trips with migrant families, leading Vacation Bible School and serving our parish. All are welcome to attend!
Sr. High Youth Group
High School students grades 9-12 join together for youth nights which revolve around different topics of our faith and living our lives according to the Gospel. Youth ministry includes youth nights, retreats and service opportunities.
Confirmation
Confirmation is offered for teens 16 years or older who wish to complete the Sacrament of Baptism and
enter into full initiation to the Church. As adults, we bring the light of Christ into the world in a new and powerful way when we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit at Confirmation. The Confirmation program prepares students for fully understanding their calling as Baptized Christians, the basics of the sacraments of initiation, and the truths of the gospel so to better live it out in their own lives.
Confirmation classes begin October 4th to prepare for Confirmation in early February. Contact Lauren White to register.
Service Trips and Pilgrimages
Agape Service Trip: Summer 2012
Save the Date for the last week of July
Junior High Youth spend one week during
the summer serving migrant farm worker families who live in the Bellingham/Lynden area. They collect and sort through donated food, clothing and other items which are offered to several hundred families who come weekly to the food bank. Students get an opportunity to go to the migrant camps, to see how the families live, work and play while growing in community with them. They spend "migrant immersion" day living the life of a migrant farm worker. Each year, the Agape staff (college students from Western Washington University's Newman Catholic Camous Ministry) lead the students through the week's activities, nightly reflections on themes of the gospel, and focus on a different aspect of Catholic Social Teaching and migrant issues.

July 2013, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

- - Pope John Paul II started this wonderful event for youth around the world. Every 3 years, over a million youth gather to celebrate our Catholic faith and hear a special message from the Pope. Pope Benedict XVI has continued this tradition and will be meeting us in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Our pilgrimage will be a journey of visiting various religious and cultural sites in or near Rio, and possibly living with families of the Dioceses while doing service work. Fundraising will begin soon for this big event. Contact Lauren if you are interested to learn more. Youth need to be at least 16 years old by July 2013 (possible expectations given to mature 14 and 15 year olds).
